The idea of Reverie Paper Co. started as a daydream to make beautiful, streamlined wedding paper for the modern-day couple.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

As friends and family planned their weddings, Kara discovered a passion for designing save-the-dates and invitations—a creative outlet she enjoyed even more than her career in advertising. In 2018, she turned that passion into Kara Anne & Co., a business dedicated to meeting the design needs of both couples and small businesses. By 2023, Kara's love for wedding stationery led her to launch Reverie Paper Co., based in Richmond, VA, focusing exclusively on creating personalized paper goods for couples in Virginia and beyond.

Kara’s love for art began with sketchbooks filled with drawings and a lifelong passion for creativity. Growing up, her favorite class was always art, though she wasn’t sure where it would lead. What she did know was that she wanted to be a Hokie at Virginia Tech, where she pursued a degree in Visual Communication Design (and an affinity for football).

After graduating, Kara attended the VCU Brandcenter in Richmond, VA, to study advertising and art direction. Following five years as an art director, she found herself daydreaming about starting her own design business—and eventually made it a reality.

Kara lives in Richmond with her husband, son and two dogs. When she’s not creating beautiful stationery, she’s impressing her niece with her Disney song lyrics, tackling DIY home projects or cuddling with her pups.

WATERCOLOR ARTIST

From an early age, Lena’s parents encouraged her to draw and paint, sparking a lifelong love for art. When she discovered watercolor over a decade ago, she knew she had found her medium. Since then, she has dedicated years to refining her craft, developing a distinct artistic style that brings her subjects to life with delicate details and expressive strokes.

Lena’s journey as an artist has always been driven by a desire to create and share beauty through watercolor. With each brushstroke, she continues to explore new possibilities, embracing the endless creativity that comes with painting anything her clients can imagine.

We’re incredibly lucky to have her on our team, bringing stunning venues and landscapes to life in our wedding stationery.
